The Gardening Code was born from a desire to bring out the best in gardeners everywhere.

Jillian began her instagram adventure chronicling her garden wins and lessons. As she got plugged into the Austin growing community, she began using her platform to spotlight local garden-related companies, growers and events. Networking and community building is pivotal to Jillian, and she uses social media to achieve that goal.

From moving across Texas and ultimately out of state, Jillian gardens in Texas, Michigan, New Jersey, and New York.

The Gardening Code is a part time venture for Jillian as she is also a full time software engineer and mom to two plucky little girls and the family standard poodle- Boo.
